Due to the financial challenges facing our state government, Washington State Ferries has experienced difficulty funding ongoing maintenance of the Ferry Weather observing system. Progress has recently been made toward a resolution of this issue.

We would like to thank everyone who has expressed support for the Ferry Weather web page. Your help has been instrumental in communicating the value of this unique asset to those involved in it's management.

We will continue to post updates on the status of efforts to maintain our valuable weather data resources as new developments occur.
